I agree with this, but I’m inclined to believe that the problem is not necessarily a lack of understanding of programming concepts, but choosing the wrong tool for the job. Someone who wants to try coding as a hobby is different from someone who has decided to spend their life savings on a bootcamp to learn a language that doesn’t align with their goals. Sure, you can learn JavaScript, learn general programming concepts, and then move on to the things that really interest you, but this might not be the best approach for everyone.
