I agree with you. Freelancing can be lucrative and it can be a wonderful career, but making $3,000 a month in a place with a low cost of living is very different from making $3,000 a month in NYC or San Francisco. While some people can earn $10,000+ every month after building their portfolio and attracting reliable clients, it’s not the norm and it’s not a realistic expectation, at least in the beginning.
