Not necessarily. Using Starbucks for internet once a month is not comparable to being online all day and night at home. I still went home to no computer and no WiFi.

After a year or so without internet at all, as I wrote, I began to use a local hotspot when needed… but it was still a worthwhile experience to cut myself off from technology for awhile.
