I have wondered the same thing about cashiers. It is way more demanding to be a cashier at a busy store than to work in many other fields, where, at least, it’s possible to have a few minutes of downtime. And yet, people who work as cashiers often put things like “Brand Ambassador” on their LinkedIn profiles because the word “cashier” has such a negative connotation.

Cashiers who work their way up to district management positions can earn unthinkable salaries, though… sometimes without the expense of a college education.
