I can’t speak for anyone else, but I would love to see new pathways for writers from all walks of life to thrive. I’ve had a lot of success on Medium, and as I mentioned in other posts, writing here has changed my life. With so many new publications being featured, it would be great to have a standardized way of applying to contribute, or to submit a pitch. Sometimes, we can’t even identify the editor of a publication. Other times, there are email chains or surveys to fill out. My point is… if we could navigate to a publication, identify the editor, and pitch an article, it would be amazing. There could be an application process to weed out submission spam, but it would certainly be nicer than trying to find editors on other platforms to get in touch.
